At ServiceFirst Restoration, our sales team isn’t about pushing products — it’s about building trust, solving problems, and creating partnerships that last. We don’t sell jobs; we build relationships that lead to repeat business and long-term growth.
If you’re curious about what that really means, let us take you inside a day in the life of one of our sales reps and what it takes to thrive on our team.
Starting the Day
Imagine beginning your morning with a fresh route mapped out. Coffee in hand, you head out the door knowing you’ll meet 10 new people today — each with the potential to become a long-term partner.
Your day isn’t about sitting behind a desk. It’s about getting in front of people, shaking hands, asking smart questions, and planting seeds of trust.
The First Stop
You walk into a property management office you’ve never visited before. The receptionist looks up, a little surprised — most vendors just call or email. You introduce yourself, explain what you do, and ask who handles vendor approvals. You leave behind something memorable, thank them for their time, and move on.
That’s a pop-in. Quick, simple, but meaningful. It’s the start of a relationship you’ll cultivate over weeks, months, and eventually years.
Building the Route
By week’s end, you’ve visited 50 unique locations. Some will become regulars on your route. Others might drop off if they’re not a fit. Over time, you’ll build and rotate a network of 200 offices each month, managing 200–600 relationships.
At first, you’ll see offices every week or two. As relationships deepen, you’ll stretch those visits to three weeks, then four. Eventually, your rotation is filled with scheduled meetings — coffees, lunches, office visits, or presentations — with people who now know and trust you.
What Our Sales Team Stands For
Behind the daily activity is a culture built on the same values that drive our company:
-
Relationships First — We know trust earns business, not pressure.
-
Consistency Wins — Daily rhythms, follow-ups, and small touches add up to big results.
-
Ownership Mindset — Each rep treats their territory like it’s their own business.
-
Always Improving — We learn, practice, role-play, and coach each other to sharpen our craft.
What It Takes to Thrive
The people who succeed here are:
-
Hungry — They want to win and put in the work.
-
Humble — They listen, learn, and put others first.
-
Smart — Not just book smart, but people smart, able to connect and adapt.
-
Resilient — They don’t fold after a “no”; they see it as the first step toward a “yes.”
And they live by a few non-negotiables:
-
Daily Discipline — Activity breeds results: calls, visits, follow-ups, notes.
-
Face Time — Sales happens in person, belly-to-belly with decision-makers.
-
Follow-Through — Handwritten notes, thoughtful emails, calls when promised.
-
Long-Term View — We don’t chase transactions; we build partnerships.
Why It’s Worth It
