Burst Pipe Water Damage in Lake Forest , CA
On 06/30, the homeowner reported water intrusion in her room, traced to the adjacent theater room, possibly from a burst pipe in the wall. Moisture was visible even before crown molding removal, with potential mold observed. Upon inspection, standing water and damage to drywall and laminate flooring were found; the main water line was shut off and drying equipment was set. Despite efforts, water returned due to the water line being left on, requiring further demo and drying. Additional rooms, including the dining room, were affected. Over multiple visits, demo, antimicrobial treatment, and equipment setup were completed. The theater room later dried, but moisture persisted in the dining room. Final dry readings and cleanup were completed; the homeowner was advised to consult a plumber for ongoing leakage and follow up for reconstruction.
