Category 2 Water Damage in Lake Forest , CA

Arrived on site and met with homeowner again. Re-inspected affected areas again. Cat 2 class 2. Source of loss was a broken toilet bowl. Homeowner had it replaced by plumber. Affected area is the guest bedroom, closet, and bedroom. Affected materials are drywall, baseboards, tile flooring, and shower tile. Work authorization signed by homeowner. Sent claim number and adjusters information to the office. Removed affected baseboards in the bathroom. There was visible suspicious growth behind the baseboards. Set up one dehumidifier and one air scrubber to start dry out. Scope of work is to set floor protection from the work space to the entry way. Set custom plastic containments in the guest bedroom. Remove bathroom door and closet doors. Content manipulated everything out of the closet and into the bedroom. Pull back carpet and see if padding need to be disposed of. Cut out affected drywall and pull out any wet insulation. Demo out bathroom tile flooring and shower tile. Hepa vacuum and sanitize all exposed wood framing. Reset equipment for dry out and monitor drying progress over the next 3-5 days. Need asbestos testing before any demolition. We will be back on Friday to service check.
