The source of the loss was reported to be a roof leak. The roof has been temporarily tarped. The loss affected the Master Closet in residence. . The affected materials included drywall, baseboards, carpet, padding, insulation, and framing. There is visible growth present on the affected materials and a remediation effort is recommended. Our intended scope of work includes the Isolation of the contaminated area(s) in 6 mil polyethylene sheeting as well as the sealing of all seems and openings. During the isolation period, contaminated areas will be set under negative air pressure in order to effectively purify the air of harmful spores and mycotoxins. We will be removing the affected drywall and insulation. The affected framing and non-porous materials will be sanded, wire brushed, and wiped down in a green-anti-microbial solution. All relevant dust during the sanding phase will be HEPA vacuumed. Due to the extent of the damage, the previously mentioned remediation process will take approximately 3 full days to complete. As the remediation process is wrapping up, ServiceFirst will assist in dispatching an environmental company for a Post Remediation Verification Test (PRV).
