We inspected the referenced job on 7/15/21 and below is a job link for the project to access the inspection notes, photos, etc. Source: Supply line to water heater Area(s) affected: Garage Building materials affected: Drywall, shear wall and water heater platform box Elevated moisture was detected Upon our inspection, the source of the leak was a supply line for the water heater. The affected area is the garage side only. Prior to work we will need the water heater removed and home tested for asbestos. Scope of work for mitigation: Day #1 – First and foremost the water heater needs to be removed away from the wall in order to mitigate properly. After we get asbestos results, we will demo at least 50 ft.² of drywall in order to expose the shear wall to properly dry it down. Set up equipment. Day 2 – After 3 days of drying, service check and remove equipment if dry.
