Two weeks ago, a water line behind the fridge was discovered to be incorrectly installed, leading to water damage. Upon inspection, we found elevated moisture levels on walls and kitchen cabinets due to the leak. The homeowner informed us that the delivery company responsible for the damage would cover the costs through their insurance. Per the homeowner’s request, we focused on drying out the affected areas until further action is taken. We removed wet walls and cabinets, set up drying equipment, and scheduled service checks to monitor progress. During subsequent service checks, we found remaining moisture in the kitchen area, particularly in the toe kick and cabinet panels, which we addressed accordingly. After confirming drywall dryness, we picked up the equipment, leaving only the wet cabinets for further drying. We plan to follow up with the client on Monday for updates on the insurance process.
