This leak was caused by the flex connection to the copper line. The homeowner mentioned is burst causing water damage in seven areas of her home affecting laminate flooring, baseboards, drywall, vinyl flooring, and some toe kicks in the kitchen. Initially this will be considered a category one damage but five days have passed making it acceptable as a category 2 water damage. Class 1. The areas that are wet will require demolition therefore we must test for asbestos and lead. This home was built in the 1960s. I’m not sure if this is a “wear and tear” situation where the claim may be denied. I took a photo of the adjusters card and claim information so we can follow up to determine coverage.Initial inspection report has been sent this will require the water heater to be removed in order to perform our services in the laundry area.
