A plumbing leak in the bedroom damaged the hardwood floor, baseboards, and drywall. The homeowner had already had the plumbing repaired before we arrived.

We found moisture in the bedroom, closet, and living room, particularly in the walls and hardwood flooring. Equipment was set up to start drying, but asbestos testing delayed further work. After meeting with the adjuster, we explained that the homeowner might be responsible if the claim isn’t covered by insurance. The homeowner also requested a storage pod, which was arranged before the contents were moved out for remediation.

Once cleared for demo, we removed the affected hardwood flooring, drywall, insulation, and baseboards, vacuumed the work area, and treated exposed wood framing with an antimicrobial solution. The homeowner signed a change order after it was determined that the living room drywall and bar area were also affected. We completed the necessary demo, packed out the bar, and reset the drying equipment.
